==Politics==
Outapi constituency is traditionally a stronghold of the [South West Africa People's Organization](/source/South_West_Africa_People's_Organization) (SWAPO) party. The [2004 regional election](/source/2004_Namibian_local_and_regional_elections) was won by SWAPO politician Tataati Simon Shilekah.
