Sissoko was born in [Montreuil](/source/Montreuil%2C_Seine-Saint-Denis), France. After a four-year spell in Metz, Sissoko signed a three-year contract with [Ligue 1](/source/Ligue_1) side [Ajaccio](/source/AC_Ajaccio) in June 2012.
