**Osney Rail Bridge** is a railway bridge over the [River Thames](/source/River_Thames) at [Oxford](/source/Oxford) in England. It carries the [Cherwell Valley Line](/source/Cherwell_Valley_Line) between [Didcot](/source/Didcot) and [Oxford](/source/Oxford) across the river on the reach between [Iffley Lock](/source/Iffley_Lock) and [Osney Lock](/source/Osney_Lock).

The original bridge was built in 1850, when the [Great Western Railway](/source/Great_Western_Railway) built a new line from its original Oxford station at [Grandpont](/source/Grandpont%2C_Oxford) to [Rugby](/source/Rugby%2C_Warwickshire).[2] The north side of the bridge was on the island which was then called [Osney](/source/Osney). A second bridge was built in 1887 within a foot or so of the first bridge.[3]

The bridge is maintained by [Network Rail](/source/Network_Rail), who refer to the bridge as **River Isis Crossing**.[4]
