== Life ==
Landmann was born as daughter of the aircraft designer and university teacher {{Ill|Hermann Landmann|de}} in [Szczecin](/source/Szczecin). After her studies and doctorate at the [University of Rostock](/source/University_of_Rostock) she was a [research assistant](/source/research_assistant) to the conductors [Otmar Suitner](/source/Otmar_Suitner) and [Herbert Blomstedt](/source/Herbert_Blomstedt) as well as to the music department of the [Saxon State and University Library Dresden](/source/Saxon_State_and_University_Library_Dresden). From 1987 until her retirement, she was head of the [Répertoire International des Sources Musicales](/source/R%C3%A9pertoire_International_des_Sources_Musicales) department at the State Library Dresden.

The focus of her historical musicology work is the music at the [Electorate of Saxony](/source/Electorate_of_Saxony) court in [Dresden](/source/Dresden) and the work of the [Staatskapelle Dresden](/source/Staatskapelle_Dresden).
