# Orna Lin

**Orna Lin** (Hebrew: ארנה לין; born 1956) is the owner of a private law firm, Orna Lin & Co. and a leading labor [lawyer](/source/Lawyer) in [Israel](/source/Israel).[1]

## Biography

Orna Lin is the daughter of former Israeli [Knesset](/source/Knesset) member [Amnon Lin](/source/Amnon_Linn)[2] and granddaughter of [Haifa](/source/Haifa)'s first [Jewish](/source/Jewish) mayor, [Abba Hushi](/source/Abba_Hushi). She is a graduate of the [Hebrew University of Jerusalem](/source/Hebrew_University_of_Jerusalem).

## Legal career

Lin has been a member of the [Israeli Bar](/source/Israeli_Bar) since 1981. She was a partner at [M. Seligman & Co.](/source/M._Seligman_%26_Co.), one of the largest law firms in Israel. In 1999-2003, she headed the Tel Aviv Bar Association, the first woman to serve in this position.

She is chairperson of the [Israel Bar Association](/source/Israel_Bar_Association) Council, also the first woman to hold this post. She lectures in [labor law](/source/Labor_law) at [Tel Aviv University](/source/Tel_Aviv_University).

### Personal life

She lives in [Tel Aviv](/source/Tel_Aviv) together with her partner [Rivka Neumann](/source/Rivka_Neumann)
