***Orienthella*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [sea slugs](/source/Sea_slug), specifically aeolid [nudibranchs](/source/Nudibranch), [marine](/source/Marine_(ocean)) [gastropod](/source/Gastropod) [molluscs](/source/Mollusc) in the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Coryphellidae](/source/Coryphellidae).[2][3]

## Taxonomic Notes

In a recent study, Ekimova et al. (2026) synonymized [Coryphellidae](/source/Coryphellidae) with [Flabellinidae](/source/Flabellinidae), and synonymized all genera previously within Coryphellidae with *[Coryphella](/source/Coryphella)*[4]. It is very important to note that despite *Orienthella* being invalidated, *[Orienthella piunca](/source/Orienthella_piunca)* currently remains a fully accepted species[5], as it was the only member of Orienthella not included in the study.

## Species

Species within the genus *Orienthella* are as follows:[2][1]

- *[Orienthella cooperi](/source/Orienthella_cooperi)* (T. D. A. Cockerell, 1901)
- *[Orienthella fogata](/source/Orienthella_fogata)* (Millen & Hermosillo, 2007)
- *[Orienthella piunca](/source/Orienthella_piunca)* (Marcus, Er., 1961)
- *[Orienthella trilineata](/source/Orienthella_trilineata)* (O'Donoghue, 1921)
- *[Orienthella verta](/source/Orienthella_verta)* (Marcus, Ev. 1970)
