***Orconectes pellucidus***, the **Mammoth Cave crayfish**,[1][2] is a freshwater [crayfish](/source/Crayfish) native to [karst](/source/Karst) landscapes in [Kentucky](/source/Kentucky) and [Tennessee](/source/Tennessee) in the United States.[1]

The common name refers to the [Mammoth Cave National Park](/source/Mammoth_Cave_National_Park), however it also occurs outside of the park.[1] An alternative common name, the **eyeless crayfish** refers to its [troglomorphic](/source/Troglomorphic) adaptions to its subterranean habitat.[2]
