# Orange Movement

The **Orange Movement** (*Movimento Arancione*, MA) was a [political party in Italy](/source/List_of_political_parties_in_Italy).

It was launched on 12 December 2012 by [Luigi de Magistris](/source/Luigi_de_Magistris_(politician)), mayor of [Naples](/source/Naples) and until then member of [Italy of Values](/source/Italy_of_Values) (IdV). The founding convention of the party was attended by [Antonio Ingroia](/source/Antonio_Ingroia) (by telephone) and the leaders of the [Communist Refoundation Party](/source/Communist_Refoundation_Party), the [Party of Italian Communists](/source/Party_of_Italian_Communists) and the [Federation of the Greens](/source/Federation_of_the_Greens).[1]
