***Operation Fryday*** is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language film, written and directed by [Vishram Sawant](/source/Vishram_Sawant). The film stars [Randeep Hooda](/source/Randeep_Hooda), [Suniel Shetty](/source/Suniel_Shetty) and [Nitu Chandra](/source/Nitu_Chandra) in lead roles. The film was released on 26 January 2023 by [ZEE5](/source/ZEE5) on its official OTT platform.[1]

## Plot

A Muslim played by [Randeep Hooda](/source/Randeep_Hooda) unwittingly gets involved in a terrorist bombing in [Mumbai](/source/Mumbai) and decides to avenge the act.[2]

## Production

The film was originally titled *Shooter* in 2012.[3][4][5] The film was shot in Mumbai and Lucknow.[6][3] The film was expected to release in 2014.[7]
