**Omar Yaisien** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_Language): عمر ياسين; born 8 May 2000) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder). Born in France, he represents Egypt internationally.

## Club career

Having developed in the academy of [Ligue 1](/source/Ligue_1) side [Paris Saint-Germain](/source/Paris_Saint-Germain_F.C.) from the age of five,[2] Yaisien moved to the United Arab Emirates in September 2019, signing a three-year deal with [Al Ain](/source/Al_Ain_FC).[3] After limited opportunities in his first season, he was linked with a move to [Hatta Club](/source/Hatta_Club) in January 2021,[4] and then Egyptian club [Smouha](/source/Smouha_SC) at the end of the 2020–21 season,[5] though he ultimately did not join either.

## International career

Yaisien was called up to represent the [Egypt U23s](/source/Egypt_national_under-23_football_team) in a [friendly match](/source/Friendly_(association_football)) against the [Netherlands U21](/source/Netherlands_national_under-21_football_team) in March 2019.[6] The following month, he declared his intention to represent Egypt at international level.[2][7] Having spent a year in the country, he later stated that he was open to representing the United Arab Emirates as a naturalised player.[8]

## Personal life

Yaisien was born in France to an Egyptian father from [Minya Governorate](/source/Minya_Governorate) and Algerian mother. He is the younger brother of the footballer [Abdallah Yaisien](/source/Abdallah_Yaisien).[7][9]
