'''Olaf Winter''' (born 18 July 1973 in [Neustrelitz](/source/Neustrelitz), [Bezirk Neubrandenburg](/source/Bezirk_Neubrandenburg)) is a German [sprint canoeist](/source/canoe_racing) who competed in the late 1990s and early 2000s (decade). Competing in two [Summer Olympics](/source/Summer_Olympics), he won a gold medal in the K-4 1000 m event at [Atlanta](/source/Atlanta) in [1996](/source/1996_Summer_Olympics).

Winter also won a bronze medal in the K-2 1000 m event at the [1999 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships](/source/1999_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships) in [Milan](/source/Milan).

He represented the sports clubs WSV Einheit Neustrelitz, [SC Neubrandenburg](/source/SC_Neubrandenburg) and [KG Essen](/source/KG_Essen). He lives in [Hattingen](/source/Hattingen).
