# Off the Kuff

**Off the Kuff** is an American political [blog](/source/Blog) based in [Houston, Texas](/source/Houston,_Texas), mainly covering [state](/source/Politics_of_Texas) and [local politics](/source/Politics_of_Houston).[1] Founded in 2001 by Charles Kuffner, it is the oldest continuously run political blog in [Texas](/source/Texas),[2] and has gained support throughout the state for its detailed political reporting and commentating.
