Odendorf offers a wide range of local business. Situated in the village are an [Edeka](/source/Edeka) supermarket, also an [Aldi](/source/Aldi) as well a [Rossmann](/source/Rossmann_(company)) drugstore. also a gas-station, post office, banks, pharmacy and several restaurants are based in the village. In a new business park further industrial business (manufacturing, wholesale trade) is located and land is still available for sale.

Odendorf is located {{Convert|6|km|mi|abbr=on}} west of Highway A61 with connection to [Aachen](/source/Aachen) (A61), [Cologne](/source/Cologne) (A1) and [Koblenz](/source/Koblenz) (A61). Also [Deutsche Bahn](/source/Deutsche_Bahn) offers a regular [Regionalbahn](/source/Regionalbahn) service on the [Voreifel Railway](/source/Voreifel_Railway) between [Euskirchen](/source/Euskirchen_station) and [Bonn](/source/Bonn_Central_Station). Also a bus service to [Rheinbach](/source/Rheinbach) and [Euskirchen](/source/Euskirchen) (school-service only) is available. The nearest airport is [Cologne/Bonn Airport](/source/Cologne%2FBonn_Airport).
