On May 10, 1555, Nobunaga took control of [Kiyosu Castle](/source/Kiyosu_Castle) and began using it as his residence. He then gave [Nagoya Castle](/source/Nagoya_Castle_(former)), his former residence, to his uncle [Oda Nobumitsu](/source/Oda_Nobumitsu), ruler of [Moriyama Castle](/source/Moriyama_Castle), who had provided him with support. In turn, Nobumitsu gave control of Moriyama Castle to [Oda Nobutsugu](/source/Oda_Nobutsugu).''<ref name=":1" />''
