'''''Oceanida''''' is a [genus](/source/genus) of very small parasitic [sea snail](/source/sea_snail)s, [marine](/source/marine_(ocean)) [gastropod](/source/gastropod) [mollusk](/source/mollusk)s or [micromollusk](/source/micromollusk)s in the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Eulimidae](/source/Eulimidae).<ref name="WoRMS">{{WRMS species|137982|''Oceanida'' de Folin, 1870||5 January 2019}}</ref>

This genus was described by [Léopold de Folin](/source/L%C3%A9opold_de_Folin) in 1870. These are subtidal snails that are parasitic on [echinoderm](/source/echinoderm)s. Their length varies between 2 and 3 mm.

==Description==
(Originally described in Latin as ''Spiroclimax'') The shell exhibits a subcylindrical form, characterized by transparency and a suture that resembles a gently descending spiral staircase. The [aperture](/source/Aperture_(mollusc)) displays an auriculate shape. The outer [lip](/source/Lip_(gastropod)) is thickened, featuring a sigmoidally margined profile that curves inward towards the suture. The [columella](/source/Columella_(gastropod)) is moderately thick, adorned with a funicular cord and exhibiting minimal plication. The [protoconch](/source/protoconch) is polished and positioned at a right angle.<ref>{{cite journal |last1=Mörch |first1=O.A.L. |title=Synopsis molluscorum marinorum Indiarum occidentalium imprimis insularum danicarum |journal=Malakozoologische Blätter |date=1875 |volume=22 |page=168 |url=https://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/15919003 |access-date=12 February 2025}} {{source-attribution}}</ref>
