==Personal life==
He was baptized into [the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints](/source/the_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-day_Saints) by [Parley P. Pratt](/source/Parley_P._Pratt) and came to [Salt Lake City, Utah](/source/Salt_Lake_City%2C_Utah) in 1871.
