**Oakley Wood** is a 48.1-hectare (119-acre) biological [Site of Special Scientific Interest](/source/Site_of_Special_Scientific_Interest) west of [Hathern](/source/Hathern) in [Leicestershire](/source/Leicestershire).[1][2]

This site provides the only example in the county of the transition from [oak](/source/Oak) woodland on free draining acid soil to the [ash](/source/Fraxinus_excelsior) and [hazel](/source/Corylus_avellana) typical of the heavy clays of eastern central England. Rides add to the variety of flora, with woodland species such as [lily of the valley](/source/Lily_of_the_valley) and [yellow archangel](/source/Yellow_archangel).[3]

The site is private land with no public access.
