**Nuagan** is a town in [Nayagarh district](/source/Nayagarh_district) of [Odisha](/source/Odisha) state of India.

## Geography

It is located at [20°16′0″N 84°58′0″E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=20_16_0_N_84_58_0_E) at an elevation of 3 ft above MSL.[1]

## Location

[National Highway 227](/source/National_Highway_227_(India)) [Khurda](/source/Khurda)-[Balangir](/source/Balangir) passes through Nuagan is around 16 km west of [Balugaon](/source/Balugaon), on the [Dashapalla](/source/Dashapalla)- [Nayagarh](/source/Nayagarh) - [Chandapur](/source/Chandapur) road, in [Nayagarh district](/source/Nayagarh_district). It is about 14 km from [Dashapalla](/source/Dashapalla), 10 km south of Madhyakandha and 25 km north of Odagan.

The nearest picnic spots are Kuanria Deer Park, [Baisipali Wildlife Sanctuary](/source/Baisipali_Wildlife_Sanctuary) and Kuanria Dam.

[Khurda Road](/source/Khurda_Road) Junction Railway Station, on the [Visakhapatnam](/source/Visakhapatnam)-[Cuttack](/source/Cuttack) rail route, serves the place. [Biju Patnaik Airport](/source/Biju_Patnaik_Airport) in [Bhubaneswar](/source/Bhubaneswar) is the nearest airport.
