==Location==
Ntega is at the west end of the RP64 road, which connects at its east end to the RN14 highway, leading north to the city of [Kirundo](/source/Kirundo). A road leads south to [Marangara](/source/Marangara) and another road leads north to [Lake Narungazi](/source/Lake_Narungazi) and [Mugendo](/source/Mugendo).{{sfn|Node: Ntega OpenStreetMap}}
The [Köppen climate classification](/source/K%C3%B6ppen_climate_classification) is Aw: Tropical savanna, wet.{{sfn|Ntega Mindat}}

In 2015 the RP64 [Rurata](/source/Rurata)–Ntega road was being rehabilitated by Paiosa, a Belgian Technical Cooperation program.{{sfn|Bukeyeneza|Ngabire|2015}}
In November 2021 Cyriaque Nshimirimana, Second Deputy-Speaker of the [Senate of Burundi](/source/Senate_of_Burundi), met leaders of the province in the Ntega.
