# Now Gallery

**Now Gallery** was a [New York City](/source/New_York_City) [art gallery](/source/Art_gallery) based in [East Village, Manhattan](/source/East_Village,_Manhattan) active from 1983 - 1989. It was a cultural concept of artist and art curator, [Jacek Tylicki](/source/Jacek_Tylicki).[1]

Co-operating with [Fashion Moda](/source/Fashion_Moda) in the Bronx and along with the [Fun Gallery](/source/Fun_Gallery), Now Gallery introduced New York [Street art](/source/Street_art) and [Graffiti](/source/Graffiti) into the mainstream art world.[2] The Now Gallery initiated the East Village art boom of the 1980s.[3][4][5][6]
