**Nosrat Irandoost** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): نصرت ایراندوست, born May 1, 1949) is a retired [Iranian](/source/Iran) [football](/source/Association_football) player and [manager](/source/Coach_(sport)). He is currently technical director of [Malavan](/source/Malavan_F.C.).

## Playing career

Irandoost spent his entire career playing for [Malavan](/source/Malavan_F.C.).[1] In 1976, he helped the team win the [Hazfi Cup](/source/Hazfi_Cup). In 1977, [Malavan](/source/Malavan_F.C.) engaged Irandoost as a player-coach. This arrangement lasted until he retired in 1981.

He also played two matches with [Malavan](/source/Malavan_F.C.) that represented Iran at the tournament under the country's name at the [1974 RCD Cup](/source/1974_RCD_Cup), playing in a game against [Turkey](/source/Turkey_national_football_team).[2]

## Managerial career

After his retirement in 1981, Irandoost started his managerial career in 1997 with [Malavan F.C.](/source/Malavan_F.C.) His tenure ended when the team hired [Mohammad Ahmadzadeh](/source/Mohammad_Ahmadzadeh) in 2000. After taking a short break from coaching, Irandoost was hired was an assistant coach to [Majid Jalali](/source/Majid_Jalali) at [Pas Tehran](/source/Pas_Tehran_F.C.).[3] However, when Jalili was fired and replaced with [Homayoun Shahrokhi](/source/Homayoun_Shahrokhi), Irandoost also found himself out of a job.

In 2007, Irandoost was hired as the manager of [Shahin Bushehr](/source/Shahin_Bushehr_F.C.).[4] However, his placement was short-lived, as the team did poorly, placing 8th in the [2007–08 Azadegan League](/source/2007%E2%80%9308_Azadegan_League) and making a first round exit from the [Hazfi Cup](/source/Hazfi_Cup). Irandoost continued his managerial career the following season at [Shahrdari Bandar Abbas](/source/Shahrdari_Bandar_Abbas_F.C.). Much like his previous tenure, his time at the club ended early due to poor results.[5]

Irandoost became the head coach of [2nd Division](/source/Iran_Football's_2nd_Division) club [Chooka Talesh](/source/Chooka_Talesh_F.C.) in 2011, before returning to [Malavan](/source/Malavan_F.C.) in 2014.[6][7][8] He was sacked after six months for poor results.[9]
