# Norio Tsuruta

**Norio Tsuruta** (鶴田 法男, *Tsuruta Norio*, born December 30, 1960) is a Japanese [film director](/source/Film_director). He directed *[Premonition](/source/Premonition_(2004_film))*, *[Dream Cruise](/source/Dream_Cruise)*, and *[Orochi: Blood](/source/Orochi:_Blood)*.[1]

## Career

Tsuruta directed *[Dream Cruise](/source/Dream_Cruise)* for the *[Masters of Horror](/source/Masters_of_Horror)* [Showtime](/source/Showtime_(TV_network)) cable network series.[2] It is based on the short story of the same name by [Koji Suzuki](/source/Koji_Suzuki_(writer)).[3]

He also directed *[Orochi: Blood](/source/Orochi:_Blood)*, which is based on the [manga](/source/Manga) by [Kazuo Umezu](/source/Kazuo_Umezu).[4]
