# Noosa River Ferry

The **Noosa River Ferries** (also known as **Noosa North Shore Ferries**) are two [cable ferries](/source/Cable_ferries) crossing the [Noosa River](/source/Noosa_River) at [Tewantin](/source/Tewantin) in [Queensland](/source/Queensland), [Australia](/source/Australia).

Originally installed to service the mineral sand industry operating in the [Teewah Beach](/source/Teewah_Beach) area, the ferries are now used to provide access to [Teewah Beach](/source/Teewah_Beach), [Cooloola National Park](/source/Cooloola_National_Park) and the growing suburb of [Noosa North Shore](/source/Noosa_North_Shore%2C_Queensland) located on the northern bank of the Noosa River.

In 2022, the contract for the service was awarded by [Noosa Council](/source/Noosa_Council) to [Entrada Travel Group](/source/Entrada_Travel_Group), beginning in July 2024 for a 20-year period.[1] The previous operator operated under contract to the council between 1999 and 2024.[2]
