== Taxonomy ==
The species was first described as ''Thlaspi kamtschaticum'' by [Mikhail Nikolaevich Karavaev](/source/Mikhail_Nikolaevich_Karavaev) in 1965. In 2010 Friedrich Karl Meyer placed the species in the newly-described genus ''Noccaeopsis'' as ''Noccaeopsis kamtschatica''.<ref name = powo/><ref name=":0">{{Cite GBIF|taxon=Noccaeopsis kamtschatica|id=167401644|access-date=2020-10-01}}</ref>
