"**Nobody Else but Me**", sometimes called "**Nobody Else but You**", is a song composed by [Jerome Kern](/source/Jerome_Kern) with lyrics by [Oscar Hammerstein II](/source/Oscar_Hammerstein_II) for the 1946 Broadway revival of the musical *[Show Boat](/source/Show_Boat)* when it was introduced by [Jan Clayton](/source/Jan_Clayton) as the character Magnolia.[1] This was the last song written by Kern, who died November 11, 1945. The Show Boat revival opened January 5, 1946.[2]
