***No Money Needed*** ([German](/source/German_language): ***Man braucht kein Geld***) is a 1932 [German](/source/Cinema_of_Germany) [comedy film](/source/Comedy_film) directed by [Carl Boese](/source/Carl_Boese) and starring [Hedy Lamarr](/source/Hedy_Lamarr), [Heinz Rühmann](/source/Heinz_R%C3%BChmann), and [Hans Moser](/source/Hans_Moser_(actor)). It was shot at the [Babelsberg Studios](/source/Babelsberg_Studios) in [Berlin](/source/Berlin) with sets designed by the [art director](/source/Art_director) [Julius von Borsody](/source/Julius_von_Borsody). It premiered on 5 February 1932.[1] It was based on a play by [Ferdinand Alternkirch](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ferdinand_Alternkirch&action=edit&redlink=1) and was shot during November 1931.[2] A French remake (*Pas besoin d'argent*) and an Italian remake (*Non c'è bisogno di denaro*) were made in 1933. Boese himself remade the story in 1953 under the title *[The Uncle from America](/source/The_Uncle_from_America)*.
