# Niwen

The **Niwen** (also known as *Einigs Alichji*) is a [mountain](/source/Mountain) of the [Bernese Alps](/source/Bernese_Alps), overlooking the [Rhone](/source/Rhone) in the upper canton of [Valais](/source/Valais). It lies in the massif that separates the valley of [Leukerbad](/source/Leukerbad) from the lower [Lötschental](/source/L%C3%B6tschental) and that culminates at the [Ferdenrothorn](/source/Ferdenrothorn).
