'''Nitroplus Co., Ltd.''', currently stylized as '''NITRO PLUS''', formerly stylized as '''nitro+''', and formerly known as "OKStyle", is a Japanese [visual novel](/source/visual_novel) [video game developer](/source/video_game_developer) that has developed a number of [visual novel](/source/visual_novel)s, including [eroge](/source/eroge). They have also collaborated with developer [Type-Moon](/source/Type-Moon) to create the [light novel](/source/light_novel) series ''[Fate/Zero](/source/Fate%2FZero)''. Their works usually have dark [themes](/source/Theme_(literature)) such as [reanimation of the dead](/source/zombies), [rape](/source/rape), and [murder](/source/murder). They also have a branch of the company called [Nitro+chiral](/source/Nitro%2Bchiral), which focuses on [boys' love](/source/yaoi) visual novels. Writers aligned with the company, such as [Gen Urobuchi](/source/Gen_Urobuchi), have also contributed to various [manga](/source/manga), [anime](/source/anime), novels, and television works.

[Super Sonico](/source/Super_Sonico) is the mascot of Nitroplus's annual music festival event "Nitro Super Sonic" since 2006. Nitroplus has held their music festival every year since 2000. Ouka Satsurikuin was Nitroplus's original mascot before Super Sonico.

In June 2024, Nitroplus announced that [CyberAgent](/source/CyberAgent) acquired 72.5% of the company for 16.7 billion yen, making it a subsidiary.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2024-06-26 |title=コンテンツ愛が受け継がれる未来へ。ニトロプラスとサイバーエージェントの新たな挑戦 {{!}} CyberAgent Way サイバーエージェント公式オウンドメディア |url=https://www.cyberagent.co.jp/way/list/detail/id=30416 |access-date=2024-06-26 |website=株式会社サイバーエージェント |language=ja}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |title=サイバーエージェントグループ参画のお知らせ｜ニトロプラス Nitro Plus |url=https://www.nitroplus.co.jp/news/2024/11957.php |access-date=2024-06-26 |website=www.nitroplus.co.jp}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |last=Industry |first=2 Comments |date=2024-06-26 |title=CyberAgent to Acquire Creative Company Nitroplus for 16.7 Billion Yen |url=https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2024-06-26/cyberagent-to-acquire-creative-company-nitroplus-for-16.7-billion-yen/.212446 |access-date=2024-06-26 |website=Anime News Network |language=en}}</ref>

CyberAgent published a public relations interview about Nitroplus' decision to become a consolidated subsidiary, stating that Nitroplus approached CyberAgent for the merger after the company acquired Nelke Planning a year prior, which Takaki Kosaka, the representative director of Nitroplus, had a stake in as an independent director. The primary goal of the acquisition is for CyberAgent to take over the administrative and distribution aspects of the business so that Nitroplus can focus on content production, including reviving projects that were abandoned due to time constraints or lack of resource management. There are also plans for this partnership to help Nitroplus expand its influence overseas and strengthen the [Touken Ranbu](/source/Touken_Ranbu) brand.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Industry |first=2 Comments |date=2024-06-26 |title= コンテンツ愛が受け継がれる未来へ。ニトロプラスとサイバーエージェントの新たな挑戦 |url= https://www.cyberagent.co.jp/way/list/detail/id=30416 |access-date=2024-08-11 |website=CyberAgent |language=ja}}</ref> In a follow up statement released on their company website, Nitroplus went on to clarify that the type of content produced by the company will not change, only the quality and quantity of the content.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Industry |first=2 Comments |date=2024-06-26 |title= サイバーエージェントグループ参画のお知らせ |url= https://www.nitroplus.co.jp/news/2024/11957.php |access-date=2024-08-11 |website=CyberAgent |language=ja}}</ref>
