**Nina Young** (born 1966) is a British-Australian actress.

## Early life

Nina Young was born in 1966. She is the daughter of Perth businessman Peter Young and [Tania Verstak](/source/Tania_Verstak), a woman of Russian origin who was [Miss Australia](/source/Miss_Australia) 1961 and Miss International 1962.[1]

## Career

Young has made appearances in films such as the [James Bond](/source/James_Bond_in_film) film *[Tomorrow Never Dies](/source/Tomorrow_Never_Dies)*, as an assistant to [Elliott Carver](/source/Elliott_Carver); *[Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone](/source/Harry_Potter_and_the_Philosopher's_Stone_(film))*, in which she played [the Grey Lady](/source/Hogwarts_staff#The_Grey_Lady), one of the [Hogwarts ghosts](/source/Hogwarts_ghosts); and *[Johnny English](/source/Johnny_English)*, in which she played Pegasus' secretary. Young also has a non-speaking part in the 2010 re-make *[Clash of the Titans](/source/Clash_of_the_Titans_(2010_film))*, playing Greek Goddess [Hera](/source/Hera). She appeared as Alison in a second series episode of *[Joking Apart](/source/Joking_Apart)*. She was also a regular in Series 3 of *[The Demon Headmaster](/source/The_Demon_Headmaster_(1996_TV_series))* in 1998, playing Professor Rowe.
