**Nilphamari-4** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). Since 13th February, 2026, This constituency is represented by [Abdul Muntakim](/source/Abdul_Muntakim), a member of [Bangladesh Jaamat-e-Islami.](/source/Bangladesh_Jamaat-e-Islami)

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Saidpur](/source/Saidpur_Upazila) and [Kishoreganj](/source/Kishoreganj_Upazila) Upazilas.[1]

## History

The constituency was established in 1984 following the division of the former Rangpur District into five districts: [Nilphamari](/source/Nilphamari_District), [Lalmonirhat](/source/Lalmonirhat_District), [Rangpur](/source/Rangpur_District), [Kurigram](/source/Kurigram_District), and [Gaibandha](/source/Gaibandha_District).

Prior to the [2018 general election](/source/2018_Bangladeshi_general_election), the Election Commission expanded the constituency's boundaries. Previously, it had excluded the three northernmost [union parishads](/source/Union_parishad) of Kishoreganj Upazila: Barabita, Putimari, and Ranachandi.[2][3]
