**Nilphamari-1** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). The current member of Parliament of this constituency is [Abdus Sattar](/source/Abdus_Sattar_(Nilphamari_politician)).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Dimla](/source/Dimla_Upazila) and [Domar](/source/Domar_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from the Rangpur-1 constituency when the former Rangpur District was split into five districts: [Nilphamari](/source/Nilphamari_District), [Lalmonirhat](/source/Lalmonirhat_District), [Rangpur](/source/Rangpur_District), [Kurigram](/source/Kurigram_District), and [Gaibandha](/source/Gaibandha_District).
