Angelopoulos played with the junior teams of Galatsi from 1995 to 2001, before joining moving to [Ilysiakos](/source/Ilysiakos_BC), where he made his pro debut in 2002 in the [Greek 2nd Division](/source/Greek_A2_Basket_League). During his professional career, Angelopoulos has played with the following clubs: [Ilysiakos](/source/Ilysiakos_BC), [Panionios](/source/Panionios_B.C.), [Aigaleo](/source/Aigaleo_B.C.), [Kavala](/source/Kavala_BC), [Rethymno](/source/Rethymno_B.C.), [Koroivos Amaliadas](/source/Koroivos_B.C.), and [Faros Keratsiniou](/source/Faros_Keratsiniou_BC).

During the 2022-2023 [Greek Basket League](/source/Greek_Basket_League) season with [Ionikos](/source/Ionikos_Nikaias_B.C.), in 5 games, he averaged 1.6 points in 11 minutes per contest.

==National team career==
Angelopoulos was a member of the junior national teams of Greece. With Greece's junior national teams, he played at the [2002 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship](/source/2002_FIBA_Europe_Under-18_Championship), where he won a bronze medal, and at the [2005 FIBA Under-21 World Cup](/source/2005_FIBA_Under-21_World_Cup), where he won a silver medal.
