**Niet** is a [punk rock](/source/Punk_rock) and [hardcore punk](/source/Hardcore_punk) band from [Ljubljana](/source/Ljubljana), [Slovenia](/source/Slovenia). They were one of the most iconic and influential[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] music groups of the Slovenian [punk movement](/source/Punk_subculture) and the [punk rock in Yugoslavia](/source/Punk_rock_in_Yugoslavia) in general. The band was active from 1983 to 1988, from 1993 to 1994 and 2008 to 2017 [2] and has been active since December 2019.
