Canonical URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Nicolas_Cozza > Markdown URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Nicolas_Cozza.md > Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Cozza > Source revision: 1352929223 > License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) **Nicolas Louis Marcel Cozza** (born 8 January 1999) is a French professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) or [left-back](/source/Left-back) for club [Nantes](/source/FC_Nantes) on loan from German club [VfL Wolfsburg](/source/VfL_Wolfsburg). ## Club career Cozza joined [Montpellier](/source/Montpellier_HSC) in 2010 and signed his first professional contract on 14 June 2017.[3] He made his professional debut for Montpellier in a 0–0 [Ligue 1](/source/Ligue_1) draw against [Lyon](/source/Olympique_Lyonnais) on 19 November 2017.[4] On 25 January 2023, Cozza signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with [Bundesliga](/source/Bundesliga) club [VfL Wolfsburg](/source/VfL_Wolfsburg).[5] On 1 February 2024, Cozza was loaned out to French side [Nantes](/source/FC_Nantes) until the end of the season.[6] After remaining on the bench in the first two Wolfsburg games of the 2024–25 season, on 28 August 2024 Cozza returned to [Nantes](/source/FC_Nantes) on a new season-long loan.[7] A new Nantes loan for the 2025–26 season was announced on 8 July 2025.[8] ## Personal life Cozza is the grandson of former Montpellier captain [Jean-Louis Besson](/source/Jean-Louis_Besson).
