**Nicol Keith Anderson** (10 June 1882 – 1 September 1953) [1] was an [Anglican](/source/Anglican) [priest](/source/Priest): he was the [Archdeacon of Kingston-upon-Thames](/source/Archdeacon_of_Kingston-upon-Thames) from 1946[2] until 1953.

## Education and career

Anderson was educated at [Marlborough](/source/Marlborough_College) and [Oriel College, Oxford](/source/Oriel_College,_Oxford)[3] and [ordained](/source/Ordained) in 1908. Following a [curacy](/source/Curate) at [St Pancras Parish Church](/source/St_Pancras_Parish_Church) he was: [Chaplain](/source/Chaplain) at the [Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment](/source/Indian_Ecclesiastical_Establishment), [Rangoon](/source/Rangoon), (1911–34); [Archdeacon](/source/Archdeacon) of [Rangoon](/source/Rangoon), (1930 – 1934); Secretary, South London Church Fund and Southwark [Diocesan Board of Finance](/source/Diocesan_Board_of_Finance) (1935 – 1952); and a [Canon Residentiary](/source/Canon_(priest)) at [Southwark Cathedral](/source/Southwark_Cathedral), (1937–50).
