He split the game between [catcher](/source/catcher) and [right field](/source/right_fielder), failing to get a hit in three [at bat](/source/at_bat)s. He also played with various teams in the [New England League](/source/New_England_League) between 1887 and 1897.

In later life he worked as a ticket seller at [Braves Field](/source/Braves_Field) and [Fenway Park](/source/Fenway_Park).
