# Niall McCready

**Niall McCready** is an Irish former [Gaelic footballer](/source/Gaelic_football) who played for [Aodh Ruadh](/source/Aodh_Ruadh_CLG) and the [Donegal county team](/source/Donegal_county_football_team).

He won an [Ulster Under-21 Football Championship](/source/Ulster_Under-21_Football_Championship) medal with Donegal in 1995.[1]

He started the first game of [Brian McEniff](/source/Brian_McEniff)'s last spell as Donegal manager, a league defeat to [Galway](/source/Galway_county_football_team) in [Tuam](/source/Tuam) in February 2003.[2]

He played in the [2003 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship](/source/2003_All-Ireland_Senior_Football_Championship) semi-final against [Armagh](/source/Armagh_county_football_team).[3]

He made a substitute appearance for his club in the final of the 2012 [Donegal Intermediate Football Championship](/source/Donegal_Intermediate_Football_Championship).[4]

He is the actual [godson](/source/Godparent) of [Brian McEniff](/source/Brian_McEniff).[5]

In 2022, McCready was announced as trainer of [Naomh Bríd](/source/CLG_Naomh_Br%C3%ADd) under the management of Aidan Murray.[6]
