It features a cantilever [low-wing](/source/low-wing), a two-seats-in-[side-by-side configuration](/source/side-by-side_configuration) enclosed cockpit, fixed [tricycle landing gear](/source/tricycle_landing_gear) and a single engine in [tractor configuration](/source/tractor_configuration). The LS1 has a distinctively curved fuselage. The aircraft is made from composites.
