# Nevermen

**Nevermen** is an American musical [supergroup](/source/Supergroup_(music)). It consists of [Tunde Adebimpe](/source/Tunde_Adebimpe), [Mike Patton](/source/Mike_Patton), and Adam "[Doseone](/source/Doseone)" Drucker.[2] It was listed by *[Paste](/source/Paste_(magazine))* as one of the "20 Best New Bands of 2015".[3]

## History

Nevermen was formed in 2008, when Adam "[Doseone](/source/Doseone)" Drucker jammed with [Tunde Adebimpe](/source/Tunde_Adebimpe) in a Brooklyn warehouse.[4] Later, the two sent some of the music to [Mike Patton](/source/Mike_Patton).[4] The trio refined the recordings with one another over the years.[4]

On August 5, 2015, Nevermen released their debut track, "Tough Towns".[5] It was, according to Doseone, "dedicated to anyone remotely young, feeling inexplicably inspired in the 'nowhere' they are from."[6] On December 4, 2015, the group released another track, "Mr Mistake".[7] [Boards of Canada](/source/Boards_of_Canada) released a remix of the song on January 12, 2016.[8] On January 22, 2016, the group released their third track, "Hate On".[9]

On January 29, 2016, Nevermen released their debut album, also titled *[Nevermen](/source/Nevermen_(album))*.[10] It debuted at number 9 on *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))'*s [Heatseekers Albums](/source/Heatseekers_Albums) chart.[11] At [Metacritic](/source/Metacritic), it received an average score of 69 out of 100, based on 19 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[12]
