The municipality (''[Gemeinde](/source/Municipalities_of_Germany)'') of Neuweiler is located at the center of [the district](/source/Calw_(district)) of [Calw](/source/Calw), in the [German state](/source/States_of_Germany) of [Baden-Württemberg](/source/Baden-W%C3%BCrttemberg). Neuweiler is physically located upon the plateaus and in the valleys of the [Enz](/source/Enz) and [Nagold](/source/Nagold_(river)) in the [Black Forest](/source/Black_Forest), though portions of its municipal area fall into the [Grinde](/source/Grinde_(landform)). Elevation above sea level in the municipal area ranges from a high of {{convert|764|m|sp=us}} [Normalnull](/source/Normalnull) (NN) to a low of {{convert|439|m|sp=us}} NN.<ref name=LEO-BW/>

==Politics==
Neuweiler has six boroughs (''Ortsteile'') – Agenbach, Breitenberg, Gaugenwald, Neuweiler, Oberkollwangen, Zwerenberg – and five villages: Agenbacher Sägmühle, Dachshof, Glasmühle, Hofstett, Weikenmühle. The industrial zone of Aisbach is also found in the municipal area. Neuweiler is a member of the Teinachtal [Municipal Association](/source/Municipal_association_(Germany)) with the cities of [Bad Teinach-Zavelstein](/source/Bad_Teinach-Zavelstein) and [Neubulach](/source/Neubulach).<ref name=LEO-BW/>

Neuweiler's municipal [coat of arms](/source/coat_of_arms) shows a [bugle](/source/bugle), in [black](/source/Sable_(heraldry)), with [silver](/source/Argent) fittings and a [red](/source/Gules) carry strap upon a [field](/source/Field_(heraldry)) of [yellow](/source/Or_(heraldry)). The bugle is taken from the arms of the {{ill|House of Hornberg|de|Hornberg (schwäbisches Adelsgeschlecht)}}, the oldest local noble family, and also references the hunting lodge maintained in Neuweiler by the [Dukes of Württemberg](/source/Dukes_of_W%C3%BCrttemberg). The overall black-yellow [tincture](/source/Tincture_(heraldry)) is taken from [Württemberg's coat of arms](/source/Coat_of_arms_of_W%C3%BCrttemberg). This coat of arms was created in 1935 on the suggestion of the {{ill|Central State Archive Stuttgart|de|Hauptstaatsarchiv Stuttgart}} and was approved for use by the [Federal Ministry of the Interior](/source/Federal_Ministry_of_the_Interior%2C_Building_and_Community) on 4 July 1967. When the municipality of Neuweiler was formed in 1975, Neuweiler's arms were retained for municipal use and were approved for that role by the Calw district office on 22 November 1976.
