'''''NetGuide''''' is a live news website with weekly email newsletters dedicated to New Zealand consumers, covering technology news, product reviews and buying advice. Netguide.co is the largest site in the Techday network.

==History and profile==
''NetGuide'' was launched in September 1996 by an independent [Auckland](/source/Auckland)-based publisher, then owned by [Australian Consolidated Press](/source/Australian_Consolidated_Press) (ACP) 2003 to 2008, then shifted to Action Media.<ref>{{cite news|url=http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=10522294|title=ACP Media to sell NetGuide magazine|work=[New Zealand Herald](/source/New_Zealand_Herald)|date=18 July 2008|access-date=24 May 2014}}</ref> It is now owned exclusively by Techday Ltd. Originally entirely internet focused, it developed to cover wider computer, telecommunications, and technology issues. The magazine competed with [IDG](/source/International_Data_Group)'s ''[New Zealand PC World](/source/PC_World_(magazine))'' and ran the annual ''NetGuide Web Awards''.<ref name="nzsales">[http://www.techday.com/webawards/ NetGuide "WebAwards"].</ref>

In early 2014, ''NetGuide'' and the entire Techday network discontinued all print publications and moved to exclusively online content.

In April 2017,<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://futurefive.co.nz/story/futurefive-rebrand-anniversary-2000-epic-giveaway-week/|title=FutureFive rebrand anniversary|last=|first=|date=|website=|access-date=}}</ref> ''NetGuide'' was renamed as ''FutureFive NZ''.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://futurefive.co.nz/story/what-is-futurefive-and-why-should-you-care/|title=We bring you the future today: Why NetGuide changed its name|last=|first=|date=|website=|access-date=}}</ref>

==Australian edition==
The magazine launched a version for the Australian market, ''[Australian NetGuide](/source/Australian_NetGuide)'', which ran 1996–2009. It competed with [NineMSN](/source/NineMSN)'s ''[apc](/source/Australian_Personal_Computer)'' and IDG's ''[Australian PC World](/source/PC_World_(magazine))''. Now, Australian news is integrated into Netguide's New Zealand website, or published under one of Techday's Australian brands: IT Brief Australia, SecurityBrief Australia, or ChannelLife Australia.
