Located at Ness Point is the previous record holder for Britain's tallest [wind turbine](/source/wind_turbine), nicknamed "Gulliver". Ness Point is a large [terminal pumping station](/source/Sewage_treatment) transferring sewage from Lowestoft to [Corton](/source/Corton%2C_Suffolk) STW.
