# Nervei

or [1] is a small [Sami](/source/Sami_people) village in the [Gamvik Municipality](/source/Gamvik_Municipality) in [Finnmark](/source/Finnmark) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). It is located along the shore of [Langfjorden](/source/Langfjorden_(Tana)), an arm of [Tanafjorden](/source/Tanafjorden) in Eastern Finnmark. The nearby village of [Laggo](/source/Laggo) is located to the south.[2]

The main industries in Nervei are sea harvesting and farming. The main exports are [cod](/source/Cod), [dried fish](/source/Dried_fish), [king crabs](/source/King_crab), [sheep](/source/Sheep), and products from [mohair](/source/Mohair) wool.

There is no official road going to the village yet, so commuting is done by boat from [Skjånes](/source/Skj%C3%A5nes) or [Smalfjord](/source/Smalfjord). The residents have been trying to get a road connection for many years, and some work has begun on building a road from Rv. 888 at Reinoksevannet to Nervei. Currently, the dirt-gravel road is open during most of the year when the weather is good, but the road is not high quality.[3]
