The stadium was built in 1963 and was called '''Krasnoye Znamya Stadium'''. The name was changed in 1993. ==International use==
The stadium has been used by [Neman Grodno](/source/FC_Neman_Grodno) in international matches. In February 2013, it was used as a home ground by [BATE Borisov](/source/FC_BATE_Borisov) in a [UEFA Europa League](/source/UEFA_Europa_League) match against Turkish side [Fenerbahçe](/source/Fenerbah%C3%A7e_S.K._(football)), due to unavailability of other stadiums.<ref>[https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/match/2010035--bate-borisov-vs-fenerbahce/ BATE vs Fenerbahçe match report]</ref>
