Pierson was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2014. He was a candidate in the [2022 Minnesota's 1st congressional district special election](/source/2022_Minnesota's_1st_congressional_district_special_election), losing to [Brad Finstad](/source/Brad_Finstad) in the May 24 primary.

==Political Positions==
