**Neklinovsky District** ([Russian](/source/Russian_language): Некли́новский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district ([raion](/source/Raion)), one of the [forty-three](/source/Administrative_divisions_of_Rostov_Oblast) in [Rostov Oblast](/source/Rostov_Oblast), [Russia](/source/Russia). It is located in the west of the [oblast](/source/Oblast), immediately adjacent to the border with Ukraine's [Donetsk Oblast](/source/Donetsk_Oblast). It surrounds the city of [Taganrog](/source/Taganrog) on that city's landward side. The area of the district is 2,148 square kilometers (829 sq mi).[2] Its [administrative center](/source/Administrative_center) is the [rural locality](/source/Types_of_inhabited_localities_in_Russia) (a *[selo](/source/Village#Russia)*) of [Pokrovskoye](/source/Pokrovskoye%2C_Rostov_Oblast).[1] Population: 88,623 ([2021 Census](/source/Russian_Census_(2021))); 84,915 ([2010 Census](/source/Russian_Census_(2010)));[5] 82,706 ([2002 census](/source/2002_Russian_census));[6] 77,775 ([1989 Soviet census](/source/1989_Soviet_census)).[7] The population of Pokrovskoye accounts for 14.6% of the district's total population.[5]
