# Neil Clabo

**William Neil Clabo** (November 18, 1952 – July 10, 2024) was an American professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [punter](/source/Punter_(gridiron_football)) for three season with the [Minnesota Vikings](/source/Minnesota_Vikings) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) from 1975 to 1977.[1] He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.[2] He was voted to the Pro Football Writers All-Pro second team for the 1975 season.[3] He played in [Super Bowl XI](/source/Super_Bowl_XI) with the Vikings.[4]

Neil Clabo is the uncle of retired NFL offensive tackle [Tyson Clabo](/source/Tyson_Clabo).[5]

In 2013, Clabo was inducted into the [Greater Knoxville](/source/Greater_Knoxville) Sports Hall of Fame.[6]

Clabo died from complications of [Alzheimer's disease](/source/Alzheimer's_disease) on July 10, 2024, at the age of 71.[7]
