**Nazwā** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): نَزْوَى) is a village in the [Emirate of Sharjah](/source/Emirate_of_Sharjah), the [U.A.E.](/source/United_Arab_Emirates), located just off the [Dubai](/source/Dubai)-[Hatta](/source/Hatta%2C_United_Arab_Emirates) highway between [Lahbab](/source/Lahbab) and [Madam](/source/Al_Madam), and near the [Emirate of Dubai](/source/Emirate_of_Dubai).

## Description

A small village, Nazwa is known for *Qarn Nazwā* ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): قَرْن نَزْوَى), a limestone outcrop and the surrounding [desert area](/source/Arabian_Desert) known for bird watching.[1]

Al Ghaf Conservation Reserve, located on the Dubai side of Nazwa, was one of six such reserves announced by the government of Dubai in May 2014.[2] The Ghaf (*[Prosopis cineraria](/source/Prosopis_cineraria)*) is the national tree of the UAE.[3]
