**Nathan Hastie** (born 27 April 2001) is an Australian professional [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player who plays as a [scrum-half](/source/Scrum-half_(rugby_union)) for [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) club [Western Force](/source/Western_Force).[1]

## Early life

Hastie plays his club rugby for Harbour RFC, and has been contracted to Otago since 2021, although yet to make an appearance due to injury.[2]

## Club career

Hastie was called into the [Highlanders](/source/Highlanders_(rugby_union)) squad ahead of Round 9 of the [2023 Super Rugby Pacific season](/source/2023_Super_Rugby_Pacific_season), making his debut against the [Force](/source/Western_Force).[3] He has been a member of the [Otago](/source/Otago_(National_Provincial_Championship)) squad since 2021, and was again named in their side for the [2023 Bunnings NPC](/source/2023_Bunnings_NPC).[4] He has signed full-time for the Highlanders ahead of the 2024 season.[5]
