**Nathan Gladwell** is a British actor, best known for his role as builder [Syd Woolfe](/source/Syd_Woolfe) on the [ITV](/source/ITV_(TV_network)) soap opera *[Emmerdale](/source/Emmerdale)*, a role which he played from 2002 until 2004.[1]

Gladwell is also noted for his roles in other television shows including *[Doctors](/source/Doctors_(2000_TV_series))*, *[Peak Practice](/source/Peak_Practice)* and *[Cutting It](/source/Cutting_It)*. Since leaving *Emmerdale* in 2004, Gladwell is more noted within the United Kingdom for his performances in theatre, rather than onscreen, appearing on [West End](/source/West_End_theatre) stage musicals such as *[Saturday Night Fever](/source/Saturday_Night_Fever)* and *[Grease](/source/Grease_(musical))*.[2]
